Flamenco is feeling/emotions—Sentimiento; and secondly, rhythms—Compás. "Sentimiento y Compás," illustrates this with performances of cantiñas, solea, seguiriyas, bulerias. All four performers spent years in Spain and studied with masters. Roberto, Fanny and Geoff are also fixtures in the Bay Area's flamenco scene. Eva performs here when she's in town.

Artistic Director Cristina Hall, together with guest artist Carola Zertuche, music director Manuel Montero, singers Niño de Elche and Alejandro Villaescusa, and percussionist Jaz Sawyer, presents a rich program, drawing upon the old flamenco culture of Sevilla. By means of archival recordings and images, they make the connection between early twentieth century Sevillano culture and a moving palette of contemporary flamenco music and dance.
